It started with the garden. We completely revamped the lay-out and added a large stainless steel arcade artpiece connecting the garden to the house.
Next, a roof extension. By lifting the roof four feet we transformed a storage attic space into a full master bedroom suite the size of the whole house. A sanctuary, where the doctor and his wife can withdraw into their own private loft.
Then, we added a sunroom, which sits on a smooth concrete slab that appears to be floating above the garden. Each window slides open, allowing a way to enjoy the garden from the inside all year round.
Later, we built down. A second extension, recessed it into the ground, when the family needed a new kitchen and casual dining area.
