A tribute to the land in eighteen holes
On the site where the Seutter family started farming a century ago, the third generation now runs the Country Side Golf Course.
With all that rich history and a rural setting, the thought of building a luxury villa typical of so many club-houses and pro-shops was a ‘no, no’ for the family. Instead, their motto was ‘Let’s keep it local and let’s build a barn”.
The new wooden structure echoes a style of the olden days and also pays homage to the surrounding landscape. Opened in 2011, the premises are flexible and relatively maintenance-free. Inside 29 ft high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and contemporary styling stand out. The clubhouse features a lounge, pro-shop, restaurant, weddings & events space for 20-240 guests, as well as several offices.
Large windows and a patio offer views of the picturesque landscape, creating a strong connection between the inside and the outside, functionally and visually.
