Practical & Beautiful Vintage
The Lancaster Estate award-winning Vineyard needed a home of equal caliber, a balance between beauty & practicality. Our task was to fulfill the artisanal needs of the Estate’s winemakers and have respect for the land, while accommodating wine-tour visitors. We built a state of the art winery that flows seamlessly into the Alexander Valley, using natural building materials and a color palette that brings Tuscany, Italy to mind. Great care was taken to assure the highest standards of energy-efficiency and a minimal footprint.
We returned for Phase II, two years later, to upgrade the original awning and entranceway with a larger canopy and plaza, big enough to receive an ever-increasing number and size of tour groups.
