Fifties Makeover

We gave a tired old fifties bungalow a new lease of life by adding an extra floor and rear extension.

We didn’t want to just create a ‘block-on-a-block’ for the second floor addition, so we recessed some of the walls and created overhangs. The result is a character home created by a back-porch, a front overhang which shades the level below and a grand sun-terrace in one corner, overlooking the pretty Mill Creek Ravine.

Completely modernized inside, the house feels brand new after we added color, space, and lots of pizzazz.
